The image of a storm is powerful. Think about the sea hurling its waves onto a beach or the sky as black as night except for sharp sounds of thunder and bursts of lightning. The storm can be awe-inspiring and terrifying at the same time.
Our lives can be filled with the storms of conflict. We experience conflict in our families, churches and workplace. These conflicts can come unexpectedly and ferociously. In the end, they are inevitable. But what do you do in the midst of a storm--in the midst of a conflict? What can pull you through the dark times? Is there hope?
Yes! Our hope is the Church, built on the solid rock of Jesus Christ, offering light and refuge in the midst of the storms of life.

The 2008 Peacemaker Conference focuses on the theme “The Power of a Peacemaking Church.” Together, we will be reminded of the firm foundation we have in our solid rock, Jesus Christ, and we will learn to help our churches grow to be a beacon of light to those who are hurting and caught in the midst of conflict.
Please join us in Orlando this fall for the 2008 Peacemaker Conference.
